Cleaning stainless steel is not as hard as you may think. Check out our guide to cleaning stainless steel below to get the low down about this stylish option.
Important Guidelines: Always follow the grain of the stainless steel, use lint-free cloths (microfiber works best), never use steel wool, never use chlorine bleach and other products that contain chlorine bleach, and avoid acids and salts.
General Cleaning: Use a 10% soapy solution with warm water. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry.
Fingerprints/Grease Marks: Start with General Cleaning tip above. If result is not satisfactory: Apply an organic solvent (i.e. acetone/alcohol), rinse with clean water and wipe dry. Alternative methods: WD-40™ or household glass cleaner.
Lime Deposits: Use 1 part vinger to 3 parts water.
Polishing: Use a stainless steel cleaner and microfiber cloth. Follow manufacturer’s instructions.
These methods are only for stainless steel appliances. Do not use them on stainless steel "like" surfaces such as: Satina, Clean Steel™, or Easy Care Stainless™.
